Tentative Agenda

Altered Atmosphere Friday Morning: 9:00am - 1:00pm Altered Atmosphere is having an open house and picnic for anyone headed for Ocean City! They will be showing off their facility, strapping a couple cars to their all-wheel-dyno, and lunch will be provided! At 1:00 they will close up shop and head for Ocean City as one giant caravan. Make sure you bring a CB radio so you can talk wth each other and get to OC as a group! Mike would like you to email him if you plan on stopping by so he can have a general idea of how many to expect. LotoBoost@aol.com

Altered Atmosphere Friday Evening: 7:00pm - Midnight What better way to wrap up a day of driving and caravaning than full-throttle, teeth-gritting, white-knuckled, seek-and-destroy-the-other-guy go-kart racing! We're planning on ambushing Jolly Roger's Amusement Park. It's right on the main strip oc OC between 30th and 32nd street, bayside. They've got a bunch of go-kart tracks, rock climbing wall, arcade, eats, etc. Should be a fun and relaxing evening. Their website (click the image) has details of what they have on site.

Hooters Restaurants Saturday Morning: 9:00am - 2:00pm Arrangements have been made!! Hooters is going to open up their lot (and kitchen!) to us for Saturday morning/afternoon. They're located at 123rd Street, bayside. We'll be meeting there starting at 9:00 Saturday morning. Meet, sign in, get stuff, hang out for a while and meet people. Parking: There's plenty of parking in the main lot but we're sure to fill it this year so more parking is in an immediately adjacent lot, it's just about a 1-foot dropoff to get to it, so use the earlier entrance for that lot (before the Hooters sign). Judging will take place during this time. Lunch: Hooters, c'mon! Check out all those hot, uh, cars!

Saturday Afternoon: Boat Launch. I guess we can't break the tradition of overtaking the boat launch and getting a visit from the friendly's. We'll all parade out to a boat launch and line up for big group photos and then I'll shoot all the individual owner pics. After that, cruise around the area, laser tag, this is open time before the banquet. This is also when I rally the volunteer forces and tally all the votes... Click this icon to visit the main Ocean City, MD, homepage and find out what all's going on in that little beachfront town...

The Embers Restaurant Saturday Evening: 8:00pm - The Embers Restaurant. 24th Street. That humongulicious buffet! These guys have hosted us the past 4years and they're great! We get the all-you-can-eat buffet for $32 and that price includes non-alcoholic drinks and gratuity. The buffet has TONS and TONS of fresh seafood, fresh cut prime rib, lots of sides and other main dish selections, deserts, etc. Cash-bar for beer/wine/mixes. It's well worth the price. Trophies, awards, and door prizes are given out at this time as well, so you have to be there! ;-)

Saturday Late-nite: After dinner, some people hit the clubs, some hit the beds, some group up and hit the corner store for beer and small in-room parties, some actually hit the road home, while others simply hit the roads of Ocean City and cruise the strip looking for prey... Wonder how many tickets we'll account for this year...

Halls Restaurant Sunday Morning: Meet for breakfast. We'll meet at Halls. This is another all-you-can-eat buffet place. Did I mention we were going to eat a lot this weekend? :-) It's a really good place. Located at 59th Street - bayside, right across from the Nassau Motel. There's plenty of parking out back and they have plenty of room to seat lots of people. We don't have a reservation so this isn't an "everyone show up at once" thing :-) Oh! And click logo here and print out the main page. There's a dollar off coupon!!! I just printed mine! :-) The breakfast buffet is only like 6 or 7 bucks, though. We'll figure the time to meet on Saturday at dinner, but it'll be something like 9 or 10am.

Sunday Afternoon: Hit the road Jack, and don'tch'ya come back... uh... til next year! Not sure if there's track time this year yet...

-WHEW!- I'm beat... :-)

News Updates

5/13/04: FINAL UPDATE! Time to GO! This will be my final words before I head out - everything is printed and ready, picked up trophies today. Just gotta stuff my entire living room floor SOMEWHERE in my Stealth! Uhhh... Can we say roofrack!! Had another handful of last second registrations come in today. They're added and printed and whatnot. If you still are on the crux of going/not going - GO! It's a lot of fun, relaxing, and lots of great people to meet and hang out with!

Drive careful and I'll see everyone in Ocean City!! It's 9:55PM and I'll be on the road in less than an hour......

5/12/04: It's getting about that time!! I have pretty much everything ready to go except me! The info packets are ready. The dash cards are complete. The door prizes are sorted through - I got a TON of stuff - not counting any contributions! Got a REALLY cool clock that should be one of the first things to go! Just have to pick up trophies tomorrow. Heh, uh, I noticed the t-shirts are all one-up-sized. I got a couple 2XL ones like I usually do and went to pull out one to show a neighbor and pulled out a 3XL!! After looking through them I have no Mediums, some Larges, XL's, plenty of XXL's and a couple XXXL!! So figure on getting one a little big and washing it ;-) Sorry!! I can always order one for you after the show - I take orders and place a followup order about 3 weeks after the show and will ship it to you directly. I have order forms.

When you sign in Saturday morning, you'll get your dash card for displaying and identifying your car and an info packet with the Owner's Info Sheet and your Owner's Voting Sheet - wander around, check out the cars, and vote for your favorites in each category - that's how the trophies are awarded -YOU are the judge!! Once you are finished voting, drop it back by the registration table in a box that will be there. There's also a People's Choice Award so anyone NOT an owner should fill that out - be it your significant other, kid, brother, mom, random stranger checking out the cars, whomever!!

5/11/04: I've uploaded the Owner's Info sheet so if you want to print it out beforehand to have so people (aka, the judges) know what you've done to your car - or NOT done to your car, you can write or type it up before Saturday. It's just a little Word file.
Owner's Info Sheet (best to right-click save as).
